Please click here to view the latest School Closure Letter (17/04/2020)

School is beginning to open to pupils on phased basis as per the government guidance, school attendance is by invitation and prior arrangement only. To arrange for your child to come back to school please contact your key worker who has been contacting you through the Covid-19 closure.

Following the Government directive we aim to open our schools on the 8th June to some pupils. Parents and carers will be contacted to discuss the arrangements for this.  It is essential you are clear on the provision you may require; however our school will phase the return to full capacity  over a number of weeks.

Attached is a letter to ensure that returning to school will be part of the 'new normal'

Key Worker Information

In order to comply with the Government’s guidance with regard to shutting schools and providing places for key worker children, it is necessary for us to collect and manage data about these children and their parents/carers in a different way.

Our standard GDPR policy applies, and information found on our privacy notices relating to staff, parents and of course pupils will apply in all cases.

We will use the information that relates to key workers in order to ensure that those children who are entitled to a place at school whilst schools are officially closed are correctly processed, managed and safeguarded.

The Data Controller continues to take its obligations to data processing seriously and will ensure that appropriate safeguards and measures are in place.

The government is closely monitoring the spread of the Coronavirus and is taking action at home and abroad.

The overall risk of Coronavirus to the UK remains moderate. However we understand that people may be concerned where there are children, students or staff returning from or visiting China.

Please share this advice with your staff and cascade as appropriate. Advice for parents/guardiansYou should not be unduly worried about the possibility of your children catching the Coronavirus.

There is no reason why your children should not continue to attend their early years, school or further education setting as normal.

We recognise that some families or children may be planning to travel to China during the forthcoming half term period. If so, please refer to the FCO’s latest travel advice via the link above.

What action you can take.

A UK wide campaign has been launched to provide clear advice on how to slow the spread of Coronavirus.

Please help to support the campaign which promotes basic hygiene practices, such as regularly washing hands and always sneezing into a tissue, to stem the spread of viruses.
